hi

im building my own hubdyno on a tight budget, im using old telma cc 300 eddy current brakes.

my question here is:

1: is there anyone here that maybe could share a dyno controller setup file, it would be nice to have a kind of start up setting, then i can change the settings to get a startup file for my own hubs.

2: i have only had one car on the hubs

is it normal that the wheels are spinning at very different speed. i have not had the brakes activated yet

thanks

Hi,

1. I would avoid using settings from someone else unless he has exactly the same dyno construction on exactly the same components. If you get PID settings that are too aggressive for your dyno, they may cause damage. With PID on a new dyno I always start from scratch, and I can help you with that. Check this page first: Remote Support Checklist

2. It's completely normal for cars without limited slip diff. It's hard to have exactly the same friction on both sides. Often one wheel stops completely and you're left with only one spinning. Of course, that's not a problem when the brakes are running and synchronizing speeds.

hi

ok thanks for the answer

i wasnt Looking for the pid settings it was more the different torque/ speed /acc controller settings that i would like to take a look at 🙂  .

i have now tried to apply more torque to the hubs and the speed stabilises i hope to get a little more time to play around with the settings soon

thanks for the answer and the offer on remote controller setup

Here is a file from hub dyno with KLAM CFK-550 for some reference. The file to override is at /home/pi/.dyno2/settings.ini

If you copy it over your file, remember that you will lose your existing settings.
