Dear Tuners! November 11 to 30 I'll be on a business trip out of the office. All the orders placed during that period will be processed at the begining of December. I'll do my best to answer your messages at least twice a day, but I won't be available for remote desktop sessions.

Absorption engine dynamometer – AQUARIUS ENGINES

Industry leader in modern power generators

AQUARIUS ENGINES develops its high-efficiency engine on the engine dynamometer, based on PEREK and Ecumaster products. The stand was designed and made by the Świątek company.

Task:

AQUARIUS ENGINES needed a tool to work on an innovative motor for power generators. It was required to be able to load the engine for a long time and work in constant conditions. Along with measuring engine power, it is necessary to monitor many other parameters of engine operation and the environment.

Solution:

The company Świątek from Bydgoszcz undertook the implementation of the project. The dyno is a separate room in the building. The room is protected against electromagnetic interference and is equipped with a complete ventilation and fire protection system.

The PEREK integrated dynamometer DC1 controller is responsible for the control and measurement part of the dynamometer. The controller, in addition to the sensors necessary to control the dynamometer, allows you to connect 6 analog 0-5V signals and 8 thermocouple temperature sensors. Thanks to the functionality of the CAN bus, it is possible to integrate the controller with other systems of the dynamometer.

The engine load is provided by the Elektromex water-cooled eddy current brake. The brake is powered through the BD1 eddy current brake interface from PEREK which receives the control signal from the DC1 controller.

The engine operation can be safely observed through the double protective glass.

ATV Dyno – Rafał Sonik

Polish entrepreneur and winner of the Dakar Rally

Rafał Sonik is a Polish entrepreneur who has been winning in quad rallies since 2001, including the famous Dakar Rally.

Task:

Rafał’s team independently built an inertial dynamometer dedicated to work on ATVs. The dyno is compact and convenient to carry when it is not needed. It is equipped with special ramps and mounting points designed for work with ATVs. The only thing missing was a measuring system. The inertia of the dynamometer rollers was known from the CAD program, but the inertia of additional elements rotating with the rollers was unknown.

Solution:

The dyno was brought to life by a universal PEREK dyno controller. The inertia of a set of rollers and wheels of the quad was measured by accelerating the entire set with a falling weight on a line pulled through the pulley. The dynamometer is now ready to contribute to Rafał’s next successes.

Chassis dyno – Ecumaster

Automotive electronics manufacturer

Ecumaster is one of the fastest growing companies in the motorsport and tuning electronics industry. PEREK works closely with Ecumaster, developing intelligent electronic solutions for the automotive industry.

Task:

The dyno was controlled by software running on an outdated computer. Upgrading the computer was impossible due to the software’s compatibility only with specific computer components – motherboard and sound card. A failure of the dynamometer computer would result in the need to look for specific old components on the used parts market.

Solution:

A PEREK dynamometer controller was used to control the dyno. The controller works with the already installed rotation sensor and toothed wheel. The dynamometer has been calibrated to the inertia of the rollers based on the settings from the old software. The controller is mounted on the back of the dyno TV and is equipped with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The cabinet containing the previous desktop computer has become redundant.

PEREK Dyno in TVN Turbo TV

Grzegorz Duda paid his visit on the PEREK dyno placed in Ecumaster workshop. Grzegorz needs no introduction, motoring fans know him from the programs of 101 repairs and “Garaż Dudy”. Artur Kisielwski, who operates the PEREK dyno, had the pleasure to help Grzesiek prepare the Mini for a duel with Adam Klimek.

Visiting the dynamometer created by Perek Dyno, tuning the car and uploading sports maps, was the icing on the cake in preparing the Mini for the final battle with Adam Klimek’s car.

You wonder who won and if the engine on the dynamometer did explode? We invite you to watch Klimek kontra Duda – odc. 10 sez. 1.
